Air Ambulance Services: Fuels

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he plans to provide emergency support to Air Ambulance charities for the costs of fuel.

Answer

The Department has been engaging with air ambulance charities on fuel resilience issues, as part of regular contingency planning.

The Government supports the longstanding and successful independent air ambulance charities model, which enables close partnership working with local National Health Service trusts to provide medical guidance, supplies, and training. There are no current plans to provide further funding to the sector which operates through this successful charitable model.
