To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what recent discussions he has had with Slough Borough Council on the prevention of the illegal (a) use and (b) sale of fireworks.

No recent discussions have taken place with Slough Borough Council on the prevention of the illegal use and sale of fireworks.
Enforcement powers exist for local authorities to take action when fireworks are unsafe, sold illegally or misused. It is for local areas to decide how best to deploy these powers, based on their specific circumstances.
