Electric Vehicles: Charging Points

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment she has made of the potential impact of the eligibility criteria for the Electric Vehicle Charge Point Grant on the rate of home charge point installation among owner-occupiers with off-street parking.

Answer

The Department continues to monitor uptake of domestic charging infrastructure and the performance of grants. There are no current plans to review the eligibility of the Electric Vehicle Charge Point Grant. Grants remain available for several types of property, including flats, rental properties, and those without off-street parking.
