To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, on what date is Jonathan Powell’s role as Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for negotiations between the UK and Mauritius on the exercise of sovereignty over the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) / Chagos Archipelago scheduled to end.

Mr Powell ceased his role as BIOT envoy when he was appointed to his new role as the National Security Adviser (NSA) on 8 November 2024.
