Veterans: Employment Schemes and Resettlement
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment his Department has made of levels of veterans engagement with (a) resettlement services, (b) employment service and (c) other transition support services.
- Answer
-
The Ministry of Defence is primarily responsible for supporting those who leave the armed forces and offers a range of “resettlement” services. This includes support into employment through the Career Transition Partnership (CTP). DWP can provide employment support to complement that provided by the CTP, including from Work Coaches in Jobcentres, and from our Armed Forces Champions for those veterans who need additional help and support.
