To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what assessment he has made of the adequacy of local authority enforcement action against vehicles parked in contravention of parking restrictions during periods of high attendance at places of worship; and whether he will take steps to strengthen enforcement.

The department has made no assessment of the enforcement practices of local authorities at places of worship. Under the Traffic Management Act 2004, Local authorities are empowered to manage parking and enforcement arrangements in their local areas.
