Administration of Justice: Artificial Intelligence

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what discussions his Department has had with the Scottish Government on sharing technology, research and technical standards developed by the Justice AI Unit with the devolved justice administrations.

Answer

While the Ministry of Justice has not explicitly shared technology, research, and technical standards developed by the Justice AI Unit with the Scottish Government, the department has had informal engagement with Scottish Government officials, and we continue to engage all devolved governments at ministerial level on technology and artificial intelligence via the Inter-Ministerial Group for Justice. We welcome continued collaboration with the Scottish Government and the other devolved governments.
