Offshore Industry: Continental Shelf

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, how many barrels of oil equivalent in oil and gas are estimated to be in the UK Continental Shelf that have not received any licence for development from the North Sea Transition Authority.

Answer

The most recent North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) report was published in October 2025 and is available on the NSTA’s website.
