-
Football is now the most popular team sport for women in England with around 300,000 women playing each month. The Government is committed to supporting the continued growth of the game, from the grassroots to elite level.
Acting on the recommendations from Karen Carney’s Independent Review of Women's Football and through the Women’s Football Taskforce, we are driving a stronger and more sustainable women’s game, including improving governance, player representation and athlete welfare.
