Visitor Levy: Wales

Question

Whether he has had discussions with the Welsh Government on the potential impact of the proposed visitor levy on the Welsh economy.

Answer

I am pleased that the UK Government has followed the lead of the Welsh Government by introducing a similar overnight levy in England, enabling mayors to invest further in transport, infrastructure and the visitor economy, rebuilding resilience that is so sorely needed in our communities.
