To ask the Secretary of State for Education, with reference to the answer of 6 February 2026 to Question 109183 on Erasmus+ programme, who will undertake the review of the UK’s participation in the programme ten months after the association; and what the timetable is for its production and publication.

The department has agreed that the UK-EU Specialised Committee on Participation in Union Programmes shall review the UK’s participation in Erasmus+ ten months after we associate.
The purpose of the review is to understand the extent to which UK education institutions and other eligible entities have been able to benefit from Erasmus+ participation. This will ensure, once relevant data is available, that there is a fair balance between the financial terms of the UK’s participation and the benefits the UK derives from the programme. Our agreement also explicitly recognises that any future agreement from 2028 should be informed by the experience of our association in 2027.
The committee minutes and findings are made publicly available and we expect the review of Erasmus+ to be published in early 2028.
