Broadband: Rural Areas

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they plan to fast-track those rural areas which have not received funding for superfast broadband.
- Answer

Superfast Broadband will be available to 95% of UK homes and businesses by 2017. The Government is undertaking a number of market testing pilot projects to explore options for extending coverage beyond the 95% level.
