To ask Her Majesty’s Government how many incursions by Spanish state vessels into British territorial waters around Gibraltar there were in the 12 months to 31 October 2016; and whether this represents an increase or a decrease in the number of such incursions.

There were 434 incursions by Spanish State vessels into British Gibraltar Territorial Waters from 1 November 2015 – 31 October 2016, compared to 404 in the preceding 12 months. This represents an increase of 7%.
