To ask Her Majesty’s Government what is their estimate of the number of homes in England that are at significant risk of flooding.
- Answer

The Environment Agency estimates the number of residential properties in England in areas at high risk of flooding to be:
169,000 properties in areas at high risk of flooding from rivers and the sea
239,000 properties in areas at high risk of flooding from surface water
High risk means there is a greater than a 3.3% chance of flooding in any given year
