Democratic Republic of Congo: Overseas Aid

Question

To ask Her Majesty's Government what amount of UK Overseas Development Aid was spent in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in each of the last ten years.

Answer

The UK Government has provided £1.45 billion of bilateral Overseas Development Assistance to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since 2007. This is not delivered through the government of the DRC and is based on humanitarian need and ongoing development projects.
