Sheffield-Rotherham Tram-train Pilot Scheme
- Question
-
Her Majesty's Government how many interventions and modifications have they made since the Sheffield to Rotherham Tram Train pilot was launched; and to what extent these account for additional costs.
- Answer
-
The only change to the agreed client outputs for the Sheffield to Rotherham Tram Train pilot project has been to the designs for electrification to ensure that, as much as practicable, it is future-proofed to allow for conversion to main line electrification (25kv AC) standards. The cost for this provision has been included in the overall project estimates.
