To ask Her Majesty's Government what proportion of the workforce at the Department for Education were undertaking apprenticeships at the end of March 2018.

At the end of March 2018, 2.9 per cent of the department’s workforce were undertaking an apprenticeship.
The Civil Service has pledged to deliver 2.3 per cent of the workforce in England as apprenticeship starts annually. The department met its target in 2017/18.
