Annual Report of the National DNA Database Strategy Board

I am pleased to announce that I am, today, publishing the Annual Report of the National DNA Database (NDNAD) Strategy Board.

Chief Constable Chris Sims, Chair of the National DNA Strategy Board, has presented the Annual Report of the National DNA Strategy Board to the Home Secretary. Publication of the Report is a statutory requirement under section 63AB(7) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 as inserted by 24 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.

The Report demonstrates the important contribution of the NDNAD to the investigation of crimes. I am grateful to the Strategy Board for their commitment to fulfilling their statutory functions.

Copies of the Report will be available from the Vote Office.
