Post- Council Statement: Competitiveness Council 26th -27th September 2019

My noble friend the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Minister for Climate Change (Lord Duncan of Springbank ) has today made the following statement:

The UK did not attend the Competitiveness Council in Brussels on 26th and 27th September 2019

The UK Government has decided that from 1st September until exit day, UK Ministers and officials will only attend EU meetings where the UK has a significant national interest in the outcome of the discussions.
