2022/23 Annual Report of the Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner

I am pleased to announce that my Rt Hon Friend the Home Secretary is today publishing the Annual Report of the Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner.

The Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner covers independent statutory roles, who is appointed by the Home Secretary under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.

The report covers the exercise of the statutory functions over the reporting year.

This was the final report by Professor Sampson before leaving his post on 31 October 2023. I am grateful for his contribution to this important area of work.

The report has been laid before the House and it will be available from the Vote Office and on GOV.UK.
