- Answer

The Law Commission is currently consulting on the law around taxis and private hire vehicles. This is a good opportunity for those with an interest in the taxi and private hire vehicle licensing regime to feed in their views and to help shape the future of the industry.
The Department will be considering the Commission's consultation document and will be responding in due course.
