- Answer
-
The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, my right hon. Friend the Member for Chipping Barnet (Mrs Villiers), and I continue to monitor the situation in Northern Ireland closely and have been in regular contact with the Chief Constable. The Police
Service of Northern Ireland believe that individuals associated with members of loyalist paramilitary organisations locally have been involved in acts of violence.
The police continue to gather evidence around the recent disorder and will be working to bring all those who participated in violence to justice.
