To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what information his Department holds on how many barristers have been disciplined for their treatment of a witness who was testifying that he or she had been sexually assaulted.

We do not hold this information. The discipline of barristers is a matter for the Bar Standards Board, the regulatory arm of the Bar Council. The Bar Standards Board is independent of Government but has provided us with the following information.
No barristers have been disciplined by the Bar Standards Board for their treatment of a witness who was testifying that he or she had been sexually assaulted.
