To ask the Secretary of State for Education what budget the National College for Teaching and Leadership has set for promotion and advertisement of (a) core allocation and (b) School Direct routes for entry in academic year 2014-15.

The Department for Education plans to spend around £2.9 million on promotion and advertising to support recruitment to initial teacher training over the next 12 months. This marketing budget is not broken down into core allocation and School Direct routes.
