Young People: Unemployment

To ask the Secretary of State for Education how many young people from the September 2013 intake required to stay in education, training or apprenticeships under Raising the Participation Age have been unable to find places in (a) education, (b) training and (c) apprenticeships to date.
- Answer

Local authorities are required to inform the Department by the end of October how many young people had not received an offer by the end of September. The Department plans to make information on the proportion of young people who did not receive an offer available on its website in due course once it has completed quality assurance checks on the data.
