Proceeding contribution from Philip Davies (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 24 February 2017. It occurred during Debate on bill on Awards for Valour (Protection) Bill.
Awards for Valour (Protection) Bill
As it happens, I very much agree with the hon. Lady’s Bill, but it is seventh on the list, so she was a bit optimistic ever to have thought we would reach it. I cannot remember the last time we got to debate the seventh Bill on a Friday. She well knows that her Bill was never going to be reached for debate. I absolutely agree with her Bill, though, and she will get my wholehearted support if she persuades the Government
to take up her proposal. Nevertheless, unfortunately the luck of the draw meant that we were never going to reach it today.
