Protection of Freedoms Act 2012

To ask Her Majesty’s Government how many applications there have been for the Secretary of State to disregard a conviction under the terms of section 92 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012; how many of those applications have been successful; and what was the estimated total cost of processing those applications.[HL1752]
- Answer

To date the Home Office has received 118 applications to have a conviction or caution disregarded under the provisions of s.92 Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, of which 32 applications
have been granted. It is not possible to estimate the cost of processing these applications as the work has been absorbed within existing departmental resources.
