Proceeding contribution from Lord Tyler (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Friday, 13 March 2020. It occurred during Debate on bill on House of Lords (Hereditary Peers) (Abolition of By-Elections) Bill [HL].
House of Lords (Hereditary Peers) (Abolition of By-Elections) Bill [HL]
The percentage of Liberal Democrat Peers in this House is precisely the same as our last election result. If we had proportionality in the House of Commons, we would have rather more Members there too.
