Mr. George Osborne: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions when construction of the A34
Alderley Edge bypass will begin. [41392]
Mr. Jamieson: The South East Manchester Multi Modal study covers the A34 Alderley Edge bypass.
I am currently considering this report and the North West Regional Assembly's recommendations and hope to make an announcement
shortly.
