Motion to take note of European Union Documents No. 12371/10, a Commission Commnication on the freedom for Member States to decide on the cultivation of genetically modified crops; No. C(2010) 4822, a Commission Recommendation on guidelines for the development of national co-existence measures to avoid the unintended presence of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) in conventional and organic crops; and No. COM(10) 375, a draft Regulation amending Directive 2001/18/EC in relation to the ability of Member States to restrict of prohibit the cultivation of GMOs in their territory; and to support the Government's view that the Commission's legislative proposal raises significant concerns and should not be supported by the UK.
