The Home Office publish figures on the number of asylum applicants living in dispersed accommodation (under Section 95), by local authority, in the quarterly Immigration Statistics release. The latest release for April-June 2015 is available here:

Resettlement under the government schemes is voluntary on the part of local authorities. We are grateful to those who take on this role and will continue to work in partnership with them.
We do not disclose the details of where refugees are resettled upon their arrival in the UK under the Government resettlement schemes as this may undermine the privacy and recovery of this vulnerable group of people.

We are unable to provide the number of refugees living in each Local Authority, as once refugee status has been granted the individual is not required to keep the Home Office updated on their current location.

Under the Immigration and Asylum act 1999, asylum seekers who need accommodation are housed in communities across the UK according to an agreed ratio, based on various regional factors. This is reviewed regularly. Within each region, UKVI has established working arrangements with local authorities in order to consider dispersal patterns and numbers. This includes consulting key corporate partners in the local area in order to assess regularly the impact of dispersal policy on a particular community.
The COMPASS contract requires providers to liaise and consult with local authorities to ensure that accommodation provided to asylum seekers does not adversely affect local authority developments or community plans. Providers must also take into account the cultural compatibility of the environment; capacity of local health, education and other support services; concentration of accommodation of service users within particular areas; and the assessment of social tension risks.
Following the expansion of the Government's vulnerable person resettlement scheme, we have established a cross-Government committee to oversee the resettlement of vulnerable refugees and we are working closely with them and local authorities about future resettlement.

Significant investment continues to be made to the infrastructure, education and training needed to increase cycling and walking through programmes such as the Department for Transport’s Cycling Ambition Cities and National Parks Programme, the Department of Health’s investment in five English cities to deliver a range of interventions to support residents to build walking into their day to day lives, and Public Health England has also published ‘Everybody Active, Every Day’ to suggest ways to increase physical activity in local communities in England.
Local authorities have responsibility for the commissioning of health improvement services and it is for them to decide how best to meet local needs and priorities.

The government is committed to providing an inclusive service through Pension Wise and is working with its delivery partners to ensure accessibility of pension guidance across the UK. Telephone appointments are delivered by the Pension Advisory Service and can be accessed in any part of the UK through free, outbound telephone calls. Face-to-face appointments are delivered by over 500 Citizens Advice bureau locations, two of which are in Bristol, on Quay Street and Broad Street. The Hon. Lady is welcome to arrange a visit.

We are working closely with the local authorities and transport operators in both Bath and Bristol to deliver integrated transport ticketing. Building better bus services: multi-operator ticketing was published by the Department in March 2013 and provides guidance for local transport authorities on planning and implementing multi-operator ticketing services. In October 2013 the Department established the Smart Cities Partnership programme to accelerate the delivery of smart multi-operator commercial tickets. The West of England Partnership, including Bath and Bristol, is a member of the Smart Cities Partnership and has, alongside other large cities, bus operators (and equipment suppliers), committed to delivery principles that will underpin growth in smart, multi-operator ticketing. The big five bus operators have undertaken to deliver multi-operator ticketing this year throughout the Smart Cities Partnership areas, including Bristol, and we will be working with them to support delivery.

On Friday, together with local businesses and the local enterprise partnership, I will be launching a new campaign, Gateway to Growth, calling for a link road from the M4 to the Avon ring road that will help to deliver millions of pounds of extra investment and new jobs to the Bristol region, and provide the Kingswood area with the access to the motorway it needs. As part of his long-term economic plan, will the Prime Minister look closely at the campaign and the case for an M4 link?
