The Mayor of London is responsible for air quality in the capital and has reserve powers under Part IV of the Environment Act 1995 to reflect this.
In 2020, London Boroughs received £25 million via the Active Travel Fund (ATF) to deliver safe cycling and walking routes in their areas. They have also received £13m through the Go Ultra Low City Scheme (GULCS) to drive the uptake of ultra-low emission vehicles.
Over the last two financial years, London Borough of Enfield have been awarded a total of £117,000 through the On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme, which will see 44 EV chargepoints installed across the Borough.

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what his Department's targets are for the outcomes of the £2 billion in funding announced in July 2020 for cycling and walking active travel schemes.
This and other matters will be set out in the second Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy which will be published early next year. This will also reflect the policies outlined in the Prime Minister’s long-term cycling and walking plan, Gear Change, including the vision for half of all journeys in towns and cities to be cycled or walked by 2030.

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps his Department is taking to encourage the transition to active travel options, such as cycling and walking.
The Department is investing an unprecedented £2 billion in active travel over the course of this Parliament. This is the biggest ever boost for walking and cycling and it will enable delivery of the Prime Minister’s long term cycling and walking plan, Gear Change, published in July 2020.
That this House congratulates the Highland Disables Ramblers on 20 years of activity in the Highlands; recognises that the provision of robust scoters enables those with mobility issues to access the outdoors offering guided rambles throughout various locations in the Highlands; notes the importance of the welcome return of in-person rambles in June 2021 following the covid-19 pandemic and the move to indoor services throughout the winter months to ensure those in need will still have contact; and thanks to the team of volunteers for providing safe and enjoyable outdoor activities for those with mobility issues.

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what representations his Department has received on the maximum number of dogs that a professional dog walker should walk at any one time.
Professional dog walkers should comply with all relevant legislation, including the Animal Welfare Act 2006, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and others. They should also comply with any relevant local authority requirements, not walk more dogs at any one time than their insurance policy allows, and ensure that the dogs are kept under control at all times.
The Canine and Feline Sector Group, which includes in its members the UK’s most significant animal welfare organisations, has published guidance to assist professional dog walkers in ensuring the welfare of animals in their care. Their guidance has formed the basis for guidance owned and issued by several local authorities and recommends that no more than four dogs are walked at any one time.
That this House congratulates community fundraising group Kirkcaldy Strong on successfully completing their community walk on 11th September; understands that their route took them via various local charities for whom they were raising funds, including Nourish Support Centre, Kirkcaldy Samaritans, Greener Kirkcaldy, Kirkcaldy Foodbank, Victoria Radio Network, Pete’s Man Chat Movement, Fife Centre for Equalities and the Linton Lane Centre; notes that over £2,200 has been raised already in direct connection with the walk; pays credit to the incredible efforts of Kirkcaldy Strong founder Lisa May Young on organising and leading the event with the help of some fellow volunteers; thanks the local businesses who supported the initiative, including Cupcake Coffee Box, Fife Free Press, The Courier and Kingdom FM; and congratulates all who took part and helped to raise such valuable funds for these vital local charities supporting the Kirkcaldy community, particularly those who braved the heat in dinosaur and mascot costumes.
