My Lords, there is no next trial planned at this stage. We are considering that. It is not a question of discounts but of the fact that those who have to deal purely in cash can find life very much more expensive than those who are able to pay by other, more advanced means. That is the point behind it.
That this House condemns the Chancellor of the Exchequer for ignoring the needs of working women in the Budget; notes that changes in child benefit, while welcome, are totally inadequate for working women in the real world; believes that childcare provision is a necessary prerequisite for many working women; recognises that the recruitment and retention of women across the whole workforce is vital to the United Kingdom's future economic success; and calls for an urgent re-examination of the Government's policies for working women.
