Ministers and officials have regular discussions with Commissioners and officials in the European Commission on a range of topics. In particular, at present negotiations are continuing on the Commission's Climate and Energy Package which will deliver the 2020 emissions reductions targets agreed at the 2007 spring European Council. The environmental effects of all travel within the EU will be addressed once the package is agreed.
