The currently approved cost and in-service dates for AWE infrastructure projects, are as follows:

Project MENSA received a revised approval to its cost and in-service date in February 2022 reflecting, inter alia, the impacts of COVID-19 and amendments to the project to support the future warhead programme.
All outstanding infrastructure related projects at AWE are still subject to internal departmental approval processes and approved outturn cost and in-service dates are not yet available.

On 18 July 2016, Parliament decisively supported our commitment to maintain the UK's independent nuclear deterrent. That decision has been taken and that commitment is not under consideration as part of the Modernising Defence Programme.

The Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) provides services by arrangement to the United States Visiting Forces. The US Authorities are responsible for bearing the cost of the services of the MDP deployed on operational duty at RAF bases in the UK that are made available to the United States Visiting Forces.
