Requirements J1 to J6 of the Building Regulations 2010 SI No. 2214 (as amended) relate to the installation of combustion appliances and are designed, among other things, to reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Requirement J3 provides for the provision of carbon monoxide alarms, where appropriate, in dwellings.
