I congratulate the Secretary of State on his elevation, or whatever it is. When he does visit the Parliament, could he find out—by means of a bit of detective work, perhaps—why all Scots get free eye tests, whereas in England that applies only to the elderly, the very young and those on benefits? Is it because the Scots have worse eyes? Could the Secretary of State also explain why Scots opticians receive £28.50 from the national health service for every test that they give, while opticians in England receive only £18.30? Where does the money come from?
