That this House welcomes the launch of the Millennium Agenda for the Independence by the disability charity consortium, emPOWER, in the House on Monday 9th November; welcomes the publication of emPOWER's charters for prostheses and orthoses users, and for wheelchair users; congratulates Her Majesty's Government for its announcement of a user-focused wheelchair services funding schemes review; calls on Her Majesty's Government to end the widespread variations in practice in the disablement services sector by strengthening performance management; and further calls on Her Majesty's Government to promote the dissemination of good practice through a Disablement Services Authority.
