The Groceries Supply Code of Practice does not cover price setting or relationships between indirect suppliers and the supermarkets. It is for the Groceries Code Adjudicator (GCA), Christine Tacon, to decide whether to launch an investigation into a potential breach of the Groceries Code. The Adjudicator will only act where there is corroborated evidence of a potential breach of the Code, which must relate to the direct supply of groceries to one of the ten large retailers covered by the Code.
