The UK is concerned about all reports of illegal transactions with North Korea. We are at the forefront of international efforts to ensure UN sanctions on North Korea are robustly enforced, including those restricting technology imports. We engage widely with all states to urge full compliance with UN Security Council resolutions. Until North Korea takes steps towards its complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation, sanctions must remain and be fully enforced.
As we break for some restoration and renewal during the recess, my constituents’ lives are being blighted by two things: inconsiderate garden grabbing with no social purpose whatever, and the stealing of car parts to order. May we have a debate in Government time on those twin menaces, and on...

No assessment has been made. Both the UK and the EU share a strong commercial interest in preserving integrated supply chains, including those that support just-in-time production across the entire manufacturing sector.
The Government has produced Technical Notices to help businesses, citizens and consumers to prepare for March 2019 in the event of a no-deal scenario. Our objective is to minimise disruption by taking unilateral action to prioritise continuity and stability.

Export licence applications for all countries, including Israel, are rigorously assessed on a case by case basis against the Consolidated EU and National Arms Export Licensing Criteria, taking account of all prevailing circumstances at the time of application.
In these cases we assessed that the components in question did not have utility in a nuclear weapons programme and therefore there was no potential risk of nuclear proliferation.
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether the Government's procurement of Type 26 Destroyers will include a requirement for manufacture (a) of components sourced from manufacturing facilities in Rugby and (b) in the UK.

The Type 26 programme does not set the requirement on where equipment or components are manufactured or assembled, unless there is a National Security requirement to do so. This is a matter for the equipment and component suppliers and the lead contractor, BAE Systems. Throughout the Type 26 Frigate's lifecycle, from manufacture through in-service, equipment and components will be produced at many different locations across the United Kingdom and overseas.
