That this House notes that online sales to Northern Ireland residents by the Natural History Museum in London have recommenced following a series of Parliamentary Questions to, and correspondence with, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport; recognises that sales had stopped as a result of the NI Protocol and Windsor Agreement arrangements; is concerned that the Science Museum Group and the Victoria and Albert Museum have still not recommenced sales to Northern Ireland; and calls for an intensification of discussions between Departmental officials and the Museums in order that Northern Ireland residents are able to place orders with all these prestigious Museums, as are other residents in the rest of the UK.

On 2 October, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced a value for money audit of all equality, diversity and inclusion expenditure in the Civil Service. The audit will dovetail with the public sector productivity review, aiming to deliver a leaner, more efficient Government. The audit forms part of our drive to improve productivity across the public sector by driving down waste and improving performance. The findings and actions of the audit will be announced by the Chancellor in the autumn.

As with all of the national museums and galleries sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, I have every confidence in the capabilities of the executive team at the Science Museum Group. Since 2012, the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester has become part of the Science Museum Group, and in 2013-14, a record 5.709 million visited its family of museums.
