The Home Office has Grant Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Strategic Migration Partnerships (SMPs) across the 12 UK regions and nations. SMPs may also receive funding from other government departments, including MHCLG, MOD and DfE, to deliver additional workstreams.

The Home Office has Grant Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Strategic Migration Partnerships (SMPs) across the 12 UK regions and nations. SMPs provide regional leadership and coordination for asylum and resettlement activities on behalf of the Home Office, with each agreement tailored to the relevant region or nation and jointly held by the Home Office and the recipient SMP.
Each SMP receives funding to deliver the outcomes set out in its Grant Agreement and MoU. Funding allocations are agreed individually and are not shared between SMPs, as amounts vary by region and form part of bilateral agreements between the Home Office and the recipient. Due to the sensitive nature of the grant scheme, current funding allocations are not published. Information on previous years' funding is available through the Government Grants Data and Statistics publication.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is one of a number of Departments who fund Strategic Migration Partnerships (SMPs).
These grant agreements are bespoke and agreed between the Department and each recipient organisation, depending on delivery requirements and regional arrangements. Details of specific funding allocations are not routinely shared beyond the individual recipient organisations.

In the majority of local authorities, Prevent is delivered through existing local authority budgets, however since 2015 the Home Office has provided additional funding to areas where the risk is highest to support them with Prevent delivery.
The Prevent statutory duty requires local authorities to demonstrate an understanding of the risk of radicalisation in their area; work in partnership with the police and other local institutions; and train staff to identify and support vulnerable/susceptible individuals.

The Home Office have Grant Agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in place with Strategic Migration Partnerships in 12 regions/nations in the UK. Strategic Migration Partnerships provide leadership and coordination on migration for Asylum and Resettlement. Each Strategic Migration Partnership is awarded funding to carry out delivery of the outcomes under Asylum and Resettlement workstreams set out in the Grant and MOU. Funding is allocated individually to each SMP, and the details of each funding allocation is not shared amongst SMPs other than the recipient due to the agreement being made between the Home Office and recipient and varies in allocation amount.
