The Trinity House vessel procurement required bidders to state social value and UK content commitments as part of their bids, which accounted for ten per cent and five per cent respectively of the overall evaluation.
All bids are assessed against these criteria as part of a fair and open competition. Given that this procurement remains live at this stage it would be inappropriate for me to comment further before this process concludes.

The budgets of the General Lighthouse Authorities are agreed annually, and are funded from the General Lighthouse Fund. Therefore, resources have not as yet been allocated to Trinity House or the Northern Lighthouse Board for 2014-15 or 2015-16.
The General Lighthouse Authorities' corporate plans use a standard set of expenditure groupings consistent with General Lighthouse Fund requirements. A breakdown between headquarters and other office costs is not readily available, however office accommodation forms part of the total for finance, support and headquarters, accounting subheading.

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they will make the Corporation of Trinity House subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000; and if so, when.[HL4380]
The Government’s recent response to the Justice Select Committee’s report on post-legislative scrutiny of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) makes it clear that we remain committed to the extension of the Act to provide greater transparency. As part of that, we intend to continue consultations with a wide range of organisations, including Trinity House, about their possible inclusion in the Act with respect to any functions of a public nature that they
perform. Subject to the outcome of that consultation, we intend by May 2015 to legislate under Section 5 of the Act to bring the public functions of Trinity House into the scope of the Act.
