That this House celebrates the launch of the inaugural West Dunbartonshire Schools Golf Championship at Dalmuir Golf Course, a landmark event that brought together 31 young people representing Clydebank High School, St. Peter the Apostle High School, Vale of Leven Academy, Dumbarton Academy, and Our Lady & St. Patrick’s High School; welcomes the establishment of this free-to-enter tournament as a powerful vehicle for breaking down historical barriers to golf, making the sport accessible to all local secondary pupils, and promoting physical health and community spirit; expresses its profound thanks to St. Peter the Apostle Maths teacher Mr. McKechnie for his exceptional work in initiating and organizing the event, whose efforts have laid the groundwork for a lasting local sporting legacy; acknowledges the individual achievements of the tournament winners, including Liam McGrogan, Anthony Scouller, Brodie Cairney, and Allan Ferguson; recognises the support provided by Dalmuir Golf Course and its community-focused approach to making golf more accessible; and looks forward to this championship growing as an annual tradition that will connect schools across West Dunbartonshire for years to come.

That this House congratulates Bonhill Primary School pupils Daphne and Evie on winning the Creative category in the prestigious RKC Young Kennel Club Young Person of the Year awards for their commitment to raising the profile of Maggie’s Centres and Scottie dogs; applauds them for raising £2,600 in support of the charity Maggie's Centres who support cancer patients by holding a Meet the Scotties event for 150 fellow pupils; notes that they promoted the forthcoming Scotties in the City trail for Maggie’s and represented the initiative at Crufts 2026; recognises that their fundraising was inspired by the support Maggie’s provided to their grandmother during her cancer treatment; commends their compassion and initiative; and wishes them every success in their continued support for Maggie’s and its work supporting people affected by cancer.

Does the Prime Minister agree that this is in stark contrast to the SNP, which abandoned our communities, and demonstrates the difference that a Labour Government make to West Dunbartonshire and to Scotland?

Driving test wait times remain too high, and this Government are committed to getting them down. Last week, the Secretary of State announced further actions to do so, including measures to prevent tests being booked up and resold by bots, and bringing in the Army to bolster examiner numbers. We continue to develop and assess further measures to tackle this serious issue.

In June this year, the average wait time for a driving test in the UK was over 22 weeks. That backlog is holding back learners in my constituency. Can the Secretary of State outline what action she is taking to deliver extra tests and remove those barriers for young people in West Dunbartonshire?

To ask the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, what steps his Department is taking to support digital inclusion in West Dunbartonshire.
Digital inclusion is a priority for me and for Government. It means everyone has the access, skills, support and confidence to participate in a modern digital society, whatever their circumstances. Work is ongoing to develop our approach to tackling digital exclusion and we hope to announce more on this soon. We look forward working closely with the third sector, business and the Devolved Governments, to ensure interventions are targeted to and based on individual needs.
