The role of faith liaison officer is extremely important in Lewisham, but the post has been deleted. The officer is important with regard to preventing extremism and building community cohesion: they meet with faith leaders and have been integral to the inter-faith peace walk. I ask the Minister to look again at the role and see what more can be done. This is important not just for Lewisham but across the Met area and, indeed, across the country.

The information requested is not held centrally, but may be held by individual providers or integrated care boards (ICBs). However, some relevant information is available for autism assessments. In the NHS South East London ICB, in December 2023, there were a total of 1425 patients with an open suspected autism referral. The median waiting time of patients in this ICB with an open suspected autism referral, where their first care contact was in the quarter, was 545 days. Across England, in December 2023, 80,718 female patients had an open suspected autism referral.

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether his Department provided Lewisham Council with an impact assessment on the discontinuation of funding for the Household Support Fund from March 2024.
The government is providing an additional £500m to enable the extension of the Household Support Fund, including funding for the Devolved Administrations through the Barnett formula to be spent at their discretion. This means that Local Authorities in England will receive an additional £421m to support those in need locally through the Household Support Fund.
The funding will be available to Local Authorities in England from 1 April 2024 and will run until 30 September 2024.

The Department has not set a target. General practices (GPs) are required to provide services to meet the reasonable needs of the patients registered at their practice. The Government has also set an expectation that patients who need an appointment with their GP within two weeks should get one, and that patients with urgent needs should be seen on the same day.

The Government has not set targets for chargepoint provision per region or local area because the exact number and type of chargepoints will be highly dependent on local circumstances, future charging behaviour and the future development of electric vehicle technology. Local authorities have a key role to play as they are best placed to consider local needs. We will require all local transport authorities in England to develop their own chargepoint strategies, subject to consultation.
To date, the borough of Lewisham has been awarded £196,780 to deliver 53 chargepoints through the On Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme.

We are supporting early-stage entrepreneurs from all backgrounds through the Start-Up Loans Company which provides funding and intensive support to new entrepreneurs.

The Government has reversed the National Insurance rise, saving SMEs £4,200 on average, cut fuel duty for 12 months and brought in the Energy Bill Relief Scheme, which is shielding businesses across the country from soaring energy prices, saving some around half of their wholesale energy costs. The Employment Allowance was increased to £5,000 from April and we have continued to provide business rate relief worth over £7bn, freezing the business rates multiplier for a further year.
We have also announced £13.6 billion of support for businesses over the next five years, reducing the burden of business rates for SMEs.
