Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Michael Clapham (Labour), on Thursday, 2 February 1995, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 77 members in total.

INCORRECT X-RAYS AND CASE FOR REVIEW OF CBE CASE

That this House is extremely concerned that 13,995 former coal miners have had their applications for disablement benefit for chronic bronchitis and emphysema rejected in the year to September 1994 on the grounds that in each case there was no x-ray evidence of simple pneumoconiosis which is a qualifying condition; is disturbed to learn that some of the X-rays may have been of an incorrect exposure type leading to a flawed diagnosis; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to cause all these cases to be reviewed.
