REPORT OF IAN MACDONALD QC RELATING TO MR BERNARD CROFTON

That this House notes that Ian Macdonald QC has produced a thorough and reasoned 468 page independent report into the Bernard Crofton affair at the instigation of Hackney Council; notes that Ian Macdonald QC totally exonerates Mr Sam Yeboah, the former Director of Personnel, of the charges made against him by Mr Crofton; notes that Ian Macdonald QC concludes that Mr Crofton is not a racist but a liar; notes that Ian Macdonald QC is scathing about the fabrication of evidence by Mr Crofton in his defence, particularly as regards lies which Mr Crofton told the panel which heard his appeal and which was falsely involved, dragging in the good name of an eminent QC, Mr Andrew Arden; notes that Ian Macdonld QC believes that in his attempt to keep his job Mr Crofton committed a serious criminal offence; and agrees with Ian Macdonald QC that Mr Crofton should be sacked and that the papers should be sent to the police.
