That this House commends the Newcastle Evening Chronicle for reporting the release of chlorine gas by Durham Chemicals of Birtley on 17th April; and condemns the company for not reporting the release to the Environment Agency and the Environment Agency for not informing Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council Environmental Health Department or the local health authority.
