Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Jeremy Corbyn (Labour), on Friday, 2 March 1990, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 3 members in total.
Closure of Jones Brothers
That this House believes that Jones Bros. shop, a department store on Holloway Road, N.7, is a popular and valuable asset to the community; deplores the proposal of the John Lewis Partnership to close the store and sell the site; is concerned that this will further damage the shopping facilities in the Nags Head; and calls upon the John Lewis Partnership to reconsider their plans and retain this profitable and valuable store.
