Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Terry Rooney (Labour), on Tuesday, 20 February 1996, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 40 members in total.
YORKSHIRE WATER'S INCREASED CHARGES
That this House condemns the decision by Yorkshire water to increase charges by 5.5 per cent; notes that this is more than twice the level of inflation; further notes that over 40 per cent. of the country is still subject to drought orders; and calls on the Board of Yorkshire Water to impose no increases until continuity to supplies is guaranteed to all customers.
